FROM THE NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN STEERING GROUP

Neighbourhood Plan Referendum Day is Thursday 23rd November

The amendments proposed by the independent examiner have now been made and South Oxfordshire District Council has confirmed that the Referendum on the Lewknor Parish Neighbourhood Plan will take place on Thursday 23rd November 2023.

This referendum will decide whether the neighbourhood plan and its policies will be adopted. An adopted plan will carry legal weight and decision-makers will be obliged, by law, to take what it states into account when they consider any proposals for development in the parish.

The neighbourhood plan and referendum documents can be found at http://www.lewknorparishnp.org, and copies can be viewed at 8 Weston Road, Lewknor where they can be found in a box by the side door.

We are so very pleased to have finally reached this stage. We have created a plan, using your input and your ideas, which we hope reflects what matters most to you.

In the coming weeks you will receive a voting card from SODC inviting you to come along to the village hall in Lewknor on 23rd November to vote on the adoption of the Lewknor Parish Neighbourhood Plan. We really hope that as many of you as possible from Lewknor, Postcombe, South Weston, and the rest of the parish will come out to vote on that Thursday, whatever the weather!

Please vote on your neighbourhood plan on 23rd November
